Michael T. O’Neil is a Partner in the firm’s corporate law department and focuses primarily on general corporate matters of the closely-held business, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, debt financings, commercial agreements, including distribution and licensing agreements, and employment/non-competition contracts. Mr. O'Neil also assists his business clients with their asset protection, business succession and estate planning needs.

Mr. O’Neil represents clients in diverse industries, including technology-based companies, automobile dealerships, franchises, manufacturers, distributors. real estate developers and service companies, all with a particular focus on the issues of starting, owning, operating and selling closely-held businesses.

- Represented the Seller of commercial construction supply manufacturer in the sale of its North American operations to a strategic European acquirer in an approximate $20,000,000 deal.

to a private equity firm

- Represented regional auto dealer group in acquisition of flagship car dealership and real estate in approximate $10,000,000 deal and new approximate $50,000,000 credit facility
Mr. O’Neil served as Articles Editor for the Boston University Law Review.
Mr. O'Neil is a frequent speaker and lecturer on a wide array of topics including: legal issues for start-ups, family owned business issues and selling closely held businesses.
Mr. O'Neil has been honored with the distinction of Massachusetts SuperLawyer Rising Stars, for 2009, which was published in Boston Magazine.
